Operating a machine like a forklift is inevitably going to result in something getting damaged or broken. If you need to repair your forklift, you've got a couple of options.
Forklift Repair - What do I do?
Forklift repairs can be handled in a couple of ways.
First, you could try to do it yourself. This might be simple. If just one part is damaged or worn out, then you can order replacement forklift parts and get it done yourself. You have to be careful about this, though, as replacing some parts can be dangerous (particularly the forklift battery). If you aren't 100% sure what the problem is, don't attempt it yourself. Make sure that if you do try, you get a forklift repair manual or whatever other documentation is available from the company.
Second, you can hire a company to do it for you. The first place to look for this is the dealer you bought it from, if you got it new. If you got it used, then you can still call up the dealer for your particular brand of forklift. Most websites of forklift companies have options to search for local distributors or dealers in your area. Even if they can't do the repairs for you, they're still a good place to call because they will probably be able to refer you to someone who can.
There are also a couple of companies who advertise for forklift repairs online, but they're a bit scattered and you have to live in their area. They might be somebody good to call anyway, though, as they might know of something in your area or might be able to do something for you.
California - Boman Forklift does repairs in this area, their site is here.
New Jersey - Hercules Forklifts works in the New Jersey area, and if you live near there you can try them. Their site is here.
Oregon and Washington - NW Fleet does repairs on trucks mainly, but they also do forklifts as well. They've got a mobile fleet of repair trucks that service both these states. The web site is here.
There's also a pretty comprehensive list of companies here.
