These days you can buy pretty much anything online - and that goes for forklifts as well. It sort of sounds like the thing that you wouldn't be able to get very easily, but if it's got value, somebody's going to sell it on the Internet. You've got a couple of options. First, there's ebay. At any given time, there are HUNDREDS of forklifts listed on ebay. You may have to pay more for shipping, but this is a big purchase anyway. Here are a few of the current listings:
Option two is to go through a local distributor. Most forklift companies don't sell you stuff directly. They'll only sell through a regional distributorship - much like having a car dealer. So you'll need to look up the distributors in your area from the major forklift companies. There is enough information online that it shouldn't be that hard to pick one - the main page of the Forklift Guide has information on all the important manufacturers. A couple of them are Nissan Forklift, Toyota Forklift, Clark Forklift, and Caterpillar Forklift.
